Hello,

I think I found a very bad bug in the system. I create a product with 2 variants. For each variant I set some prices depents on the quantity.
When I save the I see the correct prices in matter what variant I choose. All fine.

Now the bug:
If I go in the backend and copy that product, then it delets all the prices in the copied produt in both variants AND same in the source product! It also delets the prices in the source product.

Regards, Benny.

Hi,

Yes, it's a known bug in current release. It will be fixed with next release which is to come out next week. In the mean time you can look at that thread for the solution:

Hi,

ok, this worked. But its a litte tricky to manipulate all the files every time after an update. Could't you set the tax decimals to 7 as a standard value? It should make no difference if the systems calculate with 7 or even more decimals.

And also the thing with the showed decimals in the frontend, couldn't you create a field in the backend to write in the wanted numbers of decimals to be showed in the frontend. That would save a lot of time after every update.

Ah, and one more thing. Is it possible to make a <br> in the product-name on a specific position?

Regards, Benny.

The solution is not to hack hikashop to add these options but to fix hikashop to calculate the prices correctly :)
It should be done this month... Hopefully after next release...

I don't understand what you want to do in your last point. Could you explain a bit more ?

Oh, yes. I mean, if the product text is to long, then it brakes to a new line. But sometimesit brakes at a position where I don't want it, I want it one word before. But how could I do this, at HTML I can do this with a <br> (brake).

You can't choose where the products name will be cut. It actually depends on the resolution of your screen and your browser. You might have your products name break at different places based on the browser and the resolution of your screen (and other parameters such as the text zoom of your browser).

One possibility is to add a CSS property no-wrap to your product names so that they can't be cut at all. Or you could also reduce/increase the size of the font and other CSS properties in order to cut at a different place or to not cut at all.

Hi,

ok, then I have to change my template and choose a smaller font size for the productname.
BUT, then I have another problem. When I change the template, all my changes in the views are gone. Because the changes hangs on the template, where the changes are made, too.
Is there a workaround for this?

That is indeed the case. The views customizations are on a per template basis. That enables you to have different customizations for different templates.
You can copy the folder templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/html/com_hikashop from one template to another via FTP in order to get all your customization from one template to another.
