Installing styles

Hello,

I followed the instructions, and I was able to install the commercial HikaShop styles.
I then changed the "style for the front-end" in the CSS menu, but I am not seeing any differences when I view my site.
I am still seeing the DEFAULT Joomla template and layout.

What I am doing wrong?

Thanks.

Hi,

The styles of HikaShop change the appearance of HikaShop pages, not the appearance of your template. So it's normal that you still see the default joomla template and layout. Styles can be used to adapt the display of HikaShop to your template easily.

Hi,
just bought the business cart and the styles.
Bit confused with the set up. I've loaded the cart and the red style as per instructions. How do I make the the site display the red style when someone logs onto the site?

In the Display tab of the configuration, you can select the style to use in the "Style" option of the CSS area.
Then, the corresponding style will be used automatically on the front end on HikaShop pages.

Hi!

I am wondering what I am missing: I bought the style, uploaded the css and style images folder as described in the documentation but in Hikashop/configuration/display I still see "Easily adapt HikaShop to your template with Styles" and not the drop down to select a style.

A bit of help would be nice.

Thank you.

Hello,

I don't see if everything was well done why you can't see the style dropdown...
Can you provide ftp access in order to check if everything are correct ?

Use our Contact us form to provide these references, just add to your message an Url link to this topic.

Awaiting news from you.

Regards.

Hello,

sorry for the late return, but unfortunately for a reason or another, we have recieve your references but the topic wasn't open with this receiving information.
I just had a look on your backend configuration, and it seems that the style wasn't detected...
And so that's why I asked for ftp access, the backend access just allow to confirm your issue, not to solve it.

I'm waiting about ftp access in order to check how you manage your files in your website, so use our Contact us form like previous but in order to avoid a delay to treat your subject, confirm this sending by a little message in this topic.

Awaiting news from you.

Regards

Hi!
The backend has Extplorer as a component which allows to do the same as FTP but in a graphical way. Didn't that work for you?

Hi,

In case you didn't read it, here is the documentation on how to install styles:
www.hikashop.com/support/documentation/i.../113-packstyles.html
As explained there, you need to put the style_***.css file in the media/com_hikashop/css folder.
I checked that folder with extplorer and couldn't find it:
take.ms/0aWzM
And the images folder of the style zip needs to go in the folder media/com_hikashop/images.
I also checked that folder with extplorer and couldn't find it:
take.ms/iPl1b
So that's why HikaShop can't find the style. You must have added the files somewhere else than the folders where they should go. Try again with the correct folders and it should work.

Thank you for the prompt reply. I'll check that and revert back to you (I think I did read the docs... but I probably must have missed something).
