automated downloads after paypal payment is made

is this possible?

i understand about downloads being made available to the buyer when certain order statuses are selected by the seller, but this can only be done manually, can't it?

what i'm trying to work out is if there is a way of making the download automatically available after the paypal payment has been made?

i'm still trawling through the forum and documentation, but if there's a quick answer i'd appreciate it :)

In the option of the paypal plugin (System->payment methods->paypal plugin), you need to activate the notifications. That will allow hikashop to receive the payment notifications from paypal and that way, hikashop will be able to validate automatically the order when the payment is made. That's what we do on our website so that even if we are sleeping, users can still buy HikaShop and get it without having to wait that we wake up :)
