Hi,

I would like to add a custom field on the front end so that the customer can type in some text on the order. So they might want some custom name, i would like a text field that they can type into. Currently the custom field will only show if i enter text into it...
I have attached a design to explain what i mean.
How would I go about doing it?
Thanks

Hi,
I think that you should use an Item Custom field to do that :).

Hi Mohamed,

Thanks, I have followed the steps:
1. Create 'custom field' in table 'product' of field type 'text'
2. Make it apply to categories 'customizable'
3. Add my product also to category 'customizable'
However when i check the front end I cannot see a reference to the field.

I have screen shot of config attached.

Thanks

Hi,

I think that you should use an Item Custom field to do that :).

Not product... Item.
