Hi,
today i noticed that the "Contact us for more information" form has any control on the user sender email.
I mean that if i write "xxx 123" (for example) on the email field the system does not give error.
Is there a way to have a control?

Also i noticed that when i receive the email by my client ( i use Thunderbird ) there is a wrong sender address.
I mean that when i answer to the contact form i find my address on the receiver field.
How can i solve that?

best regards

Hello,
I think that we already added a fix regarding the sender email control through the contact form, so can you download the last Hikashop version through our website, install it and test it again ?
Thanks.

But now there are some awfull black stripes over and down on some product images.
For example this:

How can i fix that?

Hi,

The black stripes depends on the configuration you made in Configuration > Main > Images.

Regarding the sender address, it's normal that you don't have the customer address.
The mail is sent from your website to you, but the customer email is in the email body.
So you have to use this email address to reply to the customer.

Hi,
yes, now i've noticed that you added other image setup. So now it works fine.

For the mail:
is there a way to have the customer email on the sender field?
I mean something like on the contact form of joomla.
Maybe you can add that on your todo list.. ;)

Hi,

No that's not possible.
However, the customer email address should be in the "reply-to" field of the email.
That means that if you hit the "reply" button of your email client, the receiver field of the email you will write should automatically be filled with the customer email address. That way, you don't have to do any copy/paste.

That's not the case on my end. It depends on the email client you're using. We can't help on that.

I suppose that you mean that you get the customer email in the "from" field of the email. Sure, they can do that. But it's not good practice. You're not supposed (your server is not supposed) to send emails with a sender which is not yourself (your server domain name). So that could potentially flag your server as a spammer and you would have all your emails from your website going diretly into the spam folder of the recipients.
That's why HikaShop doesn't do that. It's for your own good.
