registration and login

I have installed Hikashop and when a customer wants to order he/she has to register (username, passoword) and fill in name adress etc; what I want to achieve is that a customer only fills in his name, adress and email and by a next visit to the site he/she can login so that it is not neccessary to fill in this fileds again. Is this possible?
How can I manage that?

Yes it's indeed possible, in Configuration > Checkout you just have to select "registration" in the checkout login options.
I guess that actually you have "guest" selected.

But i am using the free version and I can't make a choice for "registration"; is that correct?

So you potentially have disabled the registration in the user options of Joomla, or have an incorrect confirmation method selected.

By default user are registered when checking out so their can log in after their purchase.
