Not showing any products in category

Having used Joomla and VM since both first came out. Now I decided to take the plunge and start out with Hikashop. Having heard a lot of good things about it.

For this, my most recent project I'm using Hikashop Business 2.6.0. I've been going trough the multitude of Hikashop's setting and possibilities for a few days now. All is pretty straight forward and put together in a way that makes sense.

However I can't seem to get something basic, like 'showing products in a category', to work.

The documentation about it doesn't reflect what i see i my hikashop version.

This all seems to be reworked into the hikashop menu item. I agree this is better place for it. But in this case it makes troubleshooting a bit confusing to a new Hikashop user like me.

Where to look to solve my issue?

Hi,

We don't have yet a documentation for the new menus / modules settings, but it is in progress.
So to have a category listing menu displaying products too you just have to create a new menu with the type HikaShop > Categories listing, then in the tab "category option" select the layout, the desired category, and in the "product options" tab select the desired layout too, don't forget to set a number of row and columns in the first part of the options.

Then adapt the settings to your needs and job is done.

I did exactly what you described, but still i wouldn't show any products.
Then did a separate install on my server (fresh Joomla and Hikashop) and your desription worked perfectly well!
Tried copying all settings to the other setup, no go...
Conclusion... the first install was somehow corrupted ( likely with a reinstall after FaLang but i'm not 100% sure )

Anyway... problem solved, thank you for your help.
