how to do ecommerce tracking (google analytics)?

-- HikaShop version -- : 2.6.1
-- Joomla version -- : 2.5.6
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : mozilla firefox

hi. i am using hikashop starter. i am trying to insert ecommerce tracking via google analytics. i am totally aware that i can either insert ecommerce tracking code which consists of the transaction id etc or i could use google tag manager and create tags and then insert the container ecommerce code into all the html pages.

where should i insert the ecommerce code at? how do i change it? via hikashop or? is there an easier way to go about this? i tried installing google tag manager plugin into joomla > enable google tag manager plugin > make a transaction in my website > look at the developer console (data layer) > copy the event id > create a tag at google tag manager > refresh the "thank you" page. but still, there is no data of the transaction being passed through.

Hi,

HikaShop have a dedicated plugin for Google Analytics and the "ecommerce" tracking.
See : www.hikashop.com/support/documentation/i...oogle-analytics.html

That plugin is include in HikaShop Business ( www.hikashop.com/extensions/compare-versions.html )
I think that you would understand that the easier solution for our support is to recommend to use that plugin ; that plugin is working good and we already have documentation it.

Regards,

may i know which plugin i should download in order for the ecommerce tracking to work?

Hi,

hi, i cant seem to make ecommerce tracking work without buying the business version of hikashop. even after downloading other ecommerce tracking (google analytics) plugin from the lists youve given me, data did not show up in analytics page. ive waited for two days for the data to load. any turnaround?

Hi,

We are providing free support for HikaShop starter but we can't provide support on third party plugins (or Joomla, other Joomla components, etc).
In HikaShop Business packages, there is a google analytics plugin which has been made to support e-commerce tracking ; so that his the best solution we can propose you.
