Changing the format of Product Codes in Characteristic Variants

Greetings,
I am trying to change the way that the Product Code is automatically built in the Variant set-up area.
Instead of using the Characteristic ID I want to use the Characteristic Value instead.
So instead of the DB setting the Product Code to:
CLTH-STT_1_10_33

I want it to set it to:
CLTH-STT-SM-BLK-NO.

Is this possible?

Sure, but that will require the customization of Hikashop's code as their is no option to automatically do it.
