So we're really pleased with our upgraded website which is using HikaSHop, HikaSerial, Community Builder, & JFB Connect, all working wonderfully together!

www.fusion.gg

This site is for a nightclub and will be using Hikashop to sell our upcoming events, along with also taking certain categories of membership renewal fees (which are then processed manually) and dposits and payments for private events.

Previously we were on Joomla 1.5, VirtueMart, Community Builder & JFB Connect. The problem was that when customers registered in Virtuemart, they weren't registered in Community Builder, so we had to make tickets available to registered users only to ensure that they followed registration in the right order. Not ideal and caused some problems!

We were also using some custom hacks in Virtuemart to create the Serial/PIN codes for tickets, which meant that when it came to putting in any upgrades to VM or Joomla we were pretty stuck!

Now thanks to Hika Shop & Hika Serial this is all default functionality so upgrade are no longer a scary option. Also because we've been able to modify the language file in Hikashop and the functionality available in JFB connect, its just a simple case or re-wording a few lines and then assing a tag and we can direct new registrations back into community builder and also add convenient links to the "Login with Facebook" button.

Functionality on the site:
Community Builder is the default registration component
JFB Connect used for "Login with Facebook" buttons
Hika Shop used for Event Ticket Purchases (With HikaSerial generating Ticket Codes)
Language File changed to redirect to Community Builder on Registration Page
Login Template changed to show "Login With Facebook" button and Community Builder "Lost Login" page
Modified Hika Serial Front End template to display a QR code for tickets for printing and presentation at venue

Hey guys,

Just to follow up, we've now done a little more work and created a whole mini Facebook cart using HikaShop!! :D

So we can now start to encourage our customers to purchase event tickets without ever leaving the Facebook interface.

Its still in Beta at the moment, but using a little theme assignments to manage the widths, and then applying rules for module visibility to create a slightly clearer Facebook Canvas I think it looks pretty awesome!
