Hi. I am having trouble with getting the settings working for registration. In the configuration settings I have tried setting registration to 'registration' yet the page comes up with registration not allowed. If I set it to no registration, the registration form is visible but when filled out.. no details are sent and not activation occurs. Alternatively.. if registration is set to 'simplified' or 'simplified without password', this also triggers the 'registration not allowed' text.

I have purchased Hikashop Essential.

Hi,

It means that you do not allow the registration in your joomla configuration.
Registration is not made by HikaShop but by Joomla itself.

Hi I thought this was SOLVED but now realise it is not. The problem I am having is this.
1) I would like the registration to be automatic once the customer has paid for the product.
2) I do not want any visitor to the site to have the ability to 'create an account'. I would like this removed and only show login for members only.

Is this possible??

Hi,

So you have to enable the joomla registration, in the HikaShop parameters section checkout, enable the registration.
Then in each login forms, remove the links to create an account.

By this way the customers can't create an account unless they are in the checkout of HikaShop.

Hi,

Xavier told you that you have to deactivate the Joomla registration in order to use the HikaShop "guest checkout".
It allows HikaShop to create internal accounts without password which are not Joomla accounts.

It is not possible to create a joomla account after the payment validation, useless you create a specific plugin and even if you want to create such plugin, I really don't see how it could be logically possible (for a global reflection, not a problem with HikaShop or Joomla.. Just no logical to implement it).

I appreciate your reply Jerome. Xaviers last reply he mentioned to 'enable' Joomla registration then in the HikaShop parameters section checkout, enable the registration.
Then in each login forms, remove the links to create an account.

I was wondering where to do this exactly? Where do I find the login forms etc..

Thanks

To remove the links, you can do that via css, with a simple display none.
Or by overriding the joomla view, and this is a joomla question ;)
