Terms and Conditions not showing.

-- HikaShop version -- : 2.3.2
-- Joomla version -- : 3.3.3
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : Chrome 36.0.1985.125

I have created a "Terms and conditions" article, linked it under the configuration/checkout settings and added it to the checkout workflow.

The tick box appears at checkout but nothing happens when the user clicks on the link to see what the terms are. The url looks like: www.mysite.co.nz/index.php/upcoming-labs...heckout/step/step-0# which does nothing when clicked on.

Is it not possible to have the Terms open in a new tab when the link is clicked on?

Hi,

The terms ans condition should open in a popup.
The popup is not displayed maybe because you have a javascript error, or you have to change the popup mode in the HikaShop settings.

To have the article opened in a new window, you can create a new custom fiels of the type "checkbox" in the table "order" set it as "required" and for the text put a string in uppercase, for example "MY_TERMS" and then add a translation like:
MY_TERMS="<a href='...' >Terms and conditions...</a>"

Couldn't work out if I had a Javascript error or not but the custom option worked just fine. Thanks

I can't figure out why the link for my terms and conditions is <a href="#"..............

I have selected and article from the setup form and the article ID shows up under my checkout settings.

Seems like every time my client asks for a change to checkout flow, the change I make doesn't work. I like a lot of things about Hikashop, but I've spent weeks trying to get a checkout flow to work in a very straight-forward manner.

Hi,

As describe before, the terms & conditions are displayed in the popup.
The issue can be related to a javascript error or to an issue between the popup mode and your template.
At this moment I will suggest you to test another popup mode in your HikaShop configuration.

But please understand that without any single information about your website (HikaShop version number, Joomla version number, link to see it directly) ; it will be more than difficult for us to give you a full and correct answer.

Sorry -- should have given more info. Since I've posted so often lately I just figure everyone knows me :oops:

-- HikaShop version -- : 2.4.0
-- Joomla version -- : 3.4.1
-- PHP version -- : 5.3.29
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : Chrome latest

My current setting for the popups is "mootools", but I have tried others with no results.

I've tried putting the terms in various places of the checkout flow, and I've tried changing out different article ID's to make sure it wasn't something on the article page.

Based upon previous conversations, it sounds like it could be a javascript error... but the popups work for all other parts of checkout (address change for example).... so I'm not sure what the issue is. I will send private message with URL.

It indeed looks like a javascript error.

Good morning, you have found the solution to the problem? I also have the same problem after updating to the latest version of hikashop.
The links of terms is "hikashop-menu-for-hikashop-registration / checkout / task-step / step-2.html #" and does not open anything ..

Usually it comes from the popup system not being supported by your template.
Changing the popup mode of the HikaShop configuration usually helps.
So try that.
Otherwise, we would need a link to the shop in order to check the problem.

I tried all combinations but does not change, but now I tried again and it works with mode "bootstrap design" with popup "mootools". Maybe it was cached, Great!
