-- url of the page with the problem -- : www.ckdev.info/dawg
-- HikaShop version -- : 2.3.4
-- Joomla version -- : 2.5.27
-- PHP version -- : 5.3.29
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : Irrelevant
-- Error-message(debug-mod must be tuned on) -- : None

When I add a product to the cart it always goes directly to checkout despite System | Configuration | Main | Cart | After a product is added to the cart being set to Always stay on the same page. It does it on the live site on v2.2.2 of HS. Just can't stop it. I hoped it may have fixed itself when I installed the latest version but still buggy.

However, the most annoying thing that's happened is now, when you add a product (and are sent to the checkout!) there's a $20 shipping charge showing - no idea why - it doesn't on the live site - www.digitalguarddawg.com . Clicking next gives an error message about other shipping options. Why is this charge even showing up?

Hello,
1. You should probably change the value of the "Use AJAX when possible for add to cart buttons" option via "Hikashop->System->Configuration->Main" and try it again.

2. You should check how you configured your shipping methods via "Hiakshop->System->Shipping methods".

1. Changing the AJAX setting does nothing.

2. I've just noticed that the live site - www.digitalguarddawg.com - now also does this. There was a security patch issued a month or 2 ago. At that time I had a number of manual changes I didn't want to go through and redo, so opted not to install the update, but only apply the patch. Prior to that, I don't ever remember seeing this shipping charge appear.

I do have 2 US Postal Service manual shipping plugin rates specified, all built on weight and size. This is where the system gets $20 from, but I would like to know why it's putting it in there when there is a FEDEX option if you continue through checkout.

1. Maybe you customized some of the views of the product page preventing you from seeing all the changes and fixes we made.
Rename temporarily the templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/html/com_hikashop folder to something else via FTP to deactivate all the custom views and see if that helps.
If so, then you will have to revert your changes of the product view files and reapply them to the new version of the view files.

2. That's because the "auto select shipping and payment methods" option of the Hikashop configuration is turned on so the system preselected the shipping method and directly adds its fee to the cart.

Thanks Nicolas - that solved the shipping issue.

The other issue still remains. I'm using a standard view for the product details page. The only change I've made is in product | options about line 136-138 (different in the older and newer versions).

$html='<span class="hikashop_option_name" >'.$optionInfo->product_name.$options.'</span></td></tr><tr><td>'.$html;

That's what I have now and all that does is move the dropdown onto a new line. Maybe that screws it up - I'm no programmer.

Still suffering from this issue of being sent straight to checkout after adding product. Just can't stand it any more; makes the site seem unprofessional and, with a site update, decided I have to get to the bottom of this. I have sent you login details of the new site (not live yet). Thanks.

Hi,

I tried to access your 2015 website backend with the admin1 account you provided but Ii'm getting the error "Username and password do not match or you do not have an account yet." when I try.
Could you double check the user account you provided so that we could log on your backend in order to check your settings ?

Hi,

I was able to login now.
I've checked your website and the "After a product is added to the cart" setting is correctly set to "always stay on the current page" on your 2015 website.
So then I went back to your frontend listing and added a product and I stayed on the same page. I then went to a product page and added a product and I stayed on the same page.
So it seems to already be doing what you want.
Did I miss something ? Does it happen only when you're logged in or something ?

That's odd. I just retried in both Chrome and IE and, without being logged into the frontend, I get sent straight to the cart. Don't disbelieve you, just wondering how it works fine for you and not for me! :-) Oh well, seems as if everyone else sees it working correctly. Thanks Nicolas.

I have no idea why you would see something different.
Did you try on other computers ? Does it work for you ? I've tried from other computers on my end and it worked fine all the time.
