-- HikaShop version -- : 2.3.4
-- Joomla version -- : 3.3.3
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : Firefox, Chrome latest

Login: yes
Display method for registration: All in one page
Registration: guest
Display email confirmation field : yes
Ask address on registration: no

When cutomer finishes his checkout he is offered to 1) Enter and confirm his email , and then 2) Write his address. Then he can change the address but can not change the e-mail (impossible to return to that step).
How to fix that?
Thanks !

Hi,

The user has to logout if he want to create a new guest user with a different email address.
I'll add a feature request in our TODO list for that.

Hi,

I know its old topic but do we have this feature now?

If user enter wrong email during guest checkout i dont see a way how he could modify it.
We do have some customers who put email like this This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and "L" is missing. So he doesn't receive email created or anything else. Another thing if he choose to pay via manual payment plugin and accidentally close thank you page with order and payment details he also can't re-order same product because it is already bought and removed from stock.
We get about 3-10 orders per month like this.

Feature to allow change email during registration or guest would be welcome.

Thanks

Hello,

No, as people can create several order with the same email, correct it have no point.
But, I have understand your trouble and I advice you to use the "Display email confirmation field" option set to "Yes".
that will prevent user to make some mistake when entering their email.

Hope this will fits your needs

Regards

What if a user entered a wrong/old/disabled/whatever email address (and confirmed it) or they just want to use a DIFFERENT email on next purchase???
Being unable to change or even view the current email address is nonsense!
Once the email has been entered, hikashop always skip the "login" step on checkout.

How to "logout" in the guest mode so hikashop will ask the email again?...

Maxim

Hello,

It simply require to clean the session/cookie.
The guest checkout is stored in the Joomla session. So if you clean the cookies or do actions like login/logout, the Joomla session will be purge automatically.

Hi,

I still think we should have possibility to change email during checkout. Same as shopify does....
If you could make such option it would be good. People would use it for sure!

Thanks

Do you suggest to end users to clean cookies if they want to change their email?... Or I need to learn php, hikashop & joomla internals to implement this "logout from guest mode" button myself? This functionality must be a part of the checkout process, otherwise 99% of those users who want to change email will just leave our shop forever.

The main reason I paid for hikashop essentials is the guest checkout mode. And it turns out to be just partially implemented!

Hi,

As Jerome said in his first answer on this thread, that's something we added on our TODO list.
So it will be added in the future. We didn't get to it yet though.

Yes, that answer was 2 years 7 months ago. I don't know how long it usually takes to implement a feature from that TODO list :-)
Do you have any estimates atm?
