users have to click twice on FINISH button

-- Error-message(debug-mod must be tuned on) -- : step 3 repeats step 2, not clear.

When users click the FINISH button to create an order, the URL change from step 2 to step 3 and come back to the same page and users need to click twice the FINISH button.

How can we change it to be only once click to create an order?

Hi,

Please make sure that the auto submit and auto select options of the checkout tab are activated. You should then not have that issue anymore.

Hello,

I am having the same issue after turning off the "Auto select default shipping and payment methods".

The reason I turned it off is the following:

If it is set to yes, then the credit card is preseleted and the credit card fields are showing. If the customer "clicks" to select the credit card payment accidently thinking they need to then the fields close and they cannot get them open again without clicking Pay By Check, then clicking Pay By Credit Card Again.



If it is set to If Only One Method is available, then nothing is preseleted, but the Credit Card fields are open. If the customer "clicks" to select the credit card payment then the fields close and they cannot get them open again without clicking Pay By Check, then clicking Pay By Credit Card Again.



What seems to be the problem is that the Javascript or JQuery running the Authorize credit card fields (open / closed) state is not registering on the page. So I have it set to no, but now customers are writing to say that they are not getting an order confirmation and they are afraid to click "finish" or send my order (language override) twice.

Hello,

I have maybe an idea, the auto select payment method option will always pick the first payment method, and so I guess that the one with the credit card form is the first in your payment method order.
Maybe you can modify order for have at the first place, a payment method without this kind of form maybe you will have what you want AND keep the auto select payment method switch on.



Hope this will fit your needs.

I moved it to be second in line and preselected. I still have to click finish (send my order) twice for it to be submitted.

Hi,

Please correct me if I'm wrong but, the first time you click to validate the credit card details.
When reloaded, you can see the credit card details (not input box but the summary) ; and the second click is there to confirm and finish the order.
Right ?

Hello,

Jerome, what you describe is correct - the cart refreshes with the xxxx for the credit card number, then you have to click finish (send my order a second time). Please keep in mind my post from 4 days ago - which is my main issue. I have found broken functionality within the javascript on the open / close. I had to move credit card second because if it is preselected and the user clicks on it, the fields close not realizing that it is "open". I have included screenshots in the discussion above.

Hi,

I understand your message but I don't see what you're expecting exactly.

Yes, you found a problem with the open/close on the payment selection ; problem which won't be an issue in the future in HikaShop 3.x. Some elements can be fix in the javascript for that "old" system, but we are today focus on the new checkout system (which will solve a lot of checkout problems).
Now the process I described is the normal process in HikaShop 2.x ; it is not a bug and due to the arrival of HikaShop 3, that legacy system will not be modified to change the fact that the payment credit card need to validated, twice.

Hi Jerome,

I'm glad to hear Hikashop 3 will have this resolved. When is that expected to release?

What I am looking to have happen is the credit card to be preselected so the user only has to click once to send their order.

I can't do this because the fields are in the open state and if the user clicks on Pay by Credit Card again, it closes the fields rather than keeping them open and they can't seem to figure out how to get them to open again. (It requires them to click Pay By Check, then click Pay By Credit Card again).

Hi,

We're expecting to release the beta of HikaShop 3 soon (in 2 weeks hopefully). The final release should come soon after. It might be after the new year. However, the beta should already be quite stable.
