Hello,

During the checkout process, in Login step, when I try to register a user, I get this error

But the user is registered in the system anyways. What can be happening? I've created multiple times the user (deleting it first before re-registering) but I get the same error when I clic next.

Hello,
Can you try it with a custom "checkout" menu on the "Force a menu on the checkout" option via "Hikashop->System->Configuration->Checkout" ?

That didn't work.

I reviewed the log file and I show this error. "2015-06-30T14:32:38+00:00 INFO 66.229.77.8 joomlafailure Username and password do not match or you do not have an account yet."

I am only trying to register a user, not trying to login. User is registered on the backend regardless of the error, and after that I can login as that user, but I can't register and keep moving with the checkout process.

Hi,

Looking online, it looks like an issue with the gzip compression on your website:
stackoverflow.com/questions/14039804/err...tent-decoding-failed
Joomla has an option for that in its configuration and it can also be changed in the server's settings. so try to switch that option and that setting and see if that helps.

Tried that and still nothing, GZip Compression was already off, switched it to On and that didn't solve the issue; turned it back Off, tried again and nothing.

Hi,

Since no one else using HikaShop has the issue, it means that it comes either:
- from a server configuration issue
- the template
- another extension on the website

So let's proceed methodically here.
First, try again with the default template of Joomla. If you don't have the problem anymore, then, it comes from the template.
If not, then try to disable each extension one by one to see if that helps.
You can start with user and system groups plugins as they are loaded during the registration process.

It was actually the GZip Compression, not on the Global Configuration but the template had a GZip Compression parameter, I switched it off and it worked.

Thanks for the help.
