-- HikaShop version -- : 2.5.0 Business
-- Joomla version -- : 2.5.28
-- PHP version -- : 5.4.41
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : Chrome 43.0.2357.130 m

I have purchases set to allow user to choose whether to Login / Register or continue as Guest (the last being the default). This works well with Event Bookings direct from JEvents/RSVP Pro.

However if a user is distracted and later wants to proceed by clicking on the Proceed to Checkout button in the HikaShop Cart Module, he is not given a choice but required to login. How can I retain the intended choice at this point.

I have uploaded some screen shots to show the relevant configuration screens. Happy to provide backend access if required.

Hikashop is only used for event bookings.

Hi,

The issue comes from the fact that you selected the menu item with the alias "hikashop-menu-for-products-listing" in the "Force a menu on checkout" setting of the HikaShop configuration and that in the Joomla menu manager, you restricted that menu to only logged in users.
So when you click on the "proceed to checkout" button from the HikaShop cart, it redirects you to that menu item but Joomla blocks the redirection as you're not yet logged in and display its login form instead.

Thanks for the reply.

I checked the Hikashop configuration and I had None selected for "Force a menu on the checkout".

However I did have the primary Hikashop menu as restricted to Special, and changing this to Public solved the problem.

The reason I had it as Special is to avoid users going to it directly. We use Virtuemart for our normal shop and are intending to use Hikashop purely for event bookings initiated through JEvents / RSVP Pro.

So I have now created a new Hikashop menu (not displayed anywhere) and moved the primary HIkashop menu item there. All seems to be working as we want it. Thanks again.
