Category Layout

My customer would like his category list module to behave like a menu in that as you move down the categories, they will display subcategories as flyout menu options. Not sure how to go about this or which view table to adjust. Or is there some settings for this? I have include a screenshot of the virtuemart page he wants it to look like and what we are moving away from.
Also a related problem is that the categories list does not show on all pages when viewing products, but only on the first page and when you go to a list of products it is gone unless you select categories main page again.

1. Sorry, but the HikaShop category listing module (menu) does not offer such fly-out feature. So, you may need to consider employing a different 3rd-party menu module for this, and perhaps search the JED for something that does what your client wants.

2. Not 100% sure from your description, but to me it reads as if the module needs to be assigned not only to category listing menu items, but also to product listing menu items. This can be done in the Joomla Module Manager under the "Assignments" tab of the module.
