Hello,

Our client uses Authorize.net for their merchant. When a customer checks out and his/her card is declined, they are returned to the last page in the checkout process. Question 1: Is is possible to have them returned to the payment step? See the screen shot for my workflow set up. If that customer clicks on the "shipping" step, which is where the payment information is, they can not change their credit card information. [b}Question 2: How do customers change their credit card information if their card is declined?[/b] See screen shot for example of credit card info that can't be changed. Question 3: Is it possible to manual set the label of the check step tabs rather than have them be named after the first item in that checkout steps. See second screen shot for example where I would like the third step to be "Shipping & Payment" rather than just "Shipping".

Hi,

No screenshots were attached to your message. So I'll suppose that you're using authorize.net in AIM mode.

1. At the end of the checkout, the credit card transaction is processed and if it fails, the system automatically clears the credit card data, cancels the order creation, and brings you back to the last step of the checkout with an error message. There is no system to return to another step than the last one, but you can have it return to the payment step by simply having it at the last step.

2. As the credit card data is cleared if the transaction fails, they see again the credit card input form where they can enter the credit card information again if they want.

3. Yes. There are specific translation overrides you can create for the titles of the checkout steps:

Yes, AIM method.

1. Ok. Not ideal, but we can work with that.

2. The CC data does not clear. See screen shot.

Hi,

Do you see an error message when the transaction is declined ?
If not, could you make sure that your template is able to display error messages ?

Yes, error message display is there. The error is "Your transaction was declined. Please reenter your credit card information or select another credit card."

Having said all that, now after I got that message and I went to the payment tab, the credit card info is blank and I can enter new info. Weird... it wasn't working before and now it is.
