I have the free version of hikashop, and would like to allow my users the option of not registering when they checkout, or eliminating Registration altogether, or at the very least eliminating the need to authenticate their email addresses.

I have spent a great deal of time on the forums and reading through all of your documentation, and it seems that any potential customers I have will be forced to register if I want to get an address to ship there orders to?

Please tell me I am understanding this wrong. My products are simple stickers, no one should have to register to buy a sticker. I do not have the money to upgrade to a paid version of hikashop as it currently stands, though I would like very much to purchase a more customizeable version of hika in the future when my business takes off, but how can it take off if I have to force everyone of my customers to create a username, password, and authenticate their email addresses just for a simple sticker?

Thank you for your time, and I look forward to any help you can provide me with.

Hi,

There are several things:
- You can turn off the user account validation setting of the Joomla user manager options page. That way, the customers won't have to validate their email address and they will be able to finish their checkout after the registration step. That should already help a lot.
- You can also completely remove the login and address views from your "checkout workflow" in the HikaShop configuration and that way you'll have a checkout without any registration, but you won't get any email address or address from your customers so I don't recommend it.
- You can set the "registration" setting of the HikaShop configuration to "guest" so that there is no password/username asked during the checkout but you still get the email and address of the users, but that option is only available in the Essential and Business editions of HikaShop.

Note that if you purchase the Essential edition today, you can upgrade to the Business edition later on this page: www.hikashop.com/extensions/upgrade-my-version.html
The amount asked for the upgrade correspond to the difference of price between the two, so it won't cost you anything more in the end if you do that.
