Customize checkout text, how to use %s ?

Hello,
I want to customize the text appearing when order is finished.
I found that I can do this by modifing text in Hikashop->Configuration->Languages :THANK_YOU_FOR_PURCHASE=" "
But I do not understand how to put order number or order total amount in the text.
It seems that %s is used sometimes for order number, sometimes for order amount, ...
Could you please explain me how this works ?

Hello Mireille,
The %s means that the value will be dynamic and will be set through PHP code, so if you want to change it, you'll have to directly edit the code of the file where the translation key is used.
