custom order number not on payment gateway

i am using a custom order and invoice number format.
Order number format: ord-{id size="5"}/{date format="m/Y"}
Invoice number format: inv-{id size="5"}/{date format="m/Y"}
this is working everywhere, but when a customer checks out the wrong format order number is given to the payment gateway.. It's still the basis order number .. #17 and not
ord-00017/01/2016

how to fix this.. otherwise its misleading for the customer and matching orders, payments, etc..
in the hikashop order overview the custom order and invoice number are correct.
on the invoice also..
