-- url of the page with the problem -- : www.club-carriere.com
-- HikaShop version -- : version is 2.3.5
-- Joomla version -- : Joomla! 2.5.28
-- PHP version -- : 5.4.45-nmm1

Hi,
on my page there are different kind of users, with different rights.
The Visitors must register themselves
The Personalities must be registered by the admin and can then upgrade by themselves to Gold Members.
Everythnig works fine.
SETTING: ACTIVATION BY ADMIN for all above written users!

Now - I want to sell some Videos with Hika-Shop. When a registered User buys - the checkout is clear, fine and without any problem.
BUT - as guest, they cannot checkout without confirming the mail, the system send to them after the purchase. So after registering in the front end as guest, a empty site appear and they got a mail sent. Not so fine!
So how can I find a proper solution, so the setting for activation depends on the Users-Category? I mean the setting for ACTIVATION by admin for the one group - and NO ACTIVATION NECESSARY!!!!!???????

Thanks a lot for help I couldnt find anything about it!
George from Vienna

p.s.: I dont dare to update, because I have adapted all the CSS to use the same colours as the rest of the site - and also the paying-connection was not so easy.

SOLUTION: I had to deactivate the Modul, which synchronizes the Users from Joomla and the Users from HIKA-Shop!!!

Hi,

When the guests register through the checkout of HikaShop, HikaShop doesn't display an empty site.
It displays a page with a message telling them to click on the activation link in the email that they received. And the email is sent at that time, not after the purchase.
So it shouldn't be a problem.
If you don't get the message, it's probably because of your template not displaying the messages:
www.hikashop.com/support/documentation/6...tibility-issues.html
So please check on that.

There is however no system in Joomla to change the activation procedure based on the type of user account.
It would require to turn off the activation of users in the Joomla user manager and have a custom plugin to be developed in order to handle that.
I doubt that deactivating the user synchronization plugin will help. I might very well create side effects so make sure that you carefully test the different user cases of your checkout.
