Proceed to checkout not working

Hi,

I have added an item into my cart and there is a section on the left side bar that shows the item being added into my "Shopping Cart". When I click on the "Proceed to checkout" link on the left hand side, the link is not functioning. It is not responsive.

However, when I right click on the link "Proceed to checkout" and open the page in new tab or open new window. the website redirects me to the registration page/checkout page.

Can you please be able to assist why the "Proceed to checkout" is not function in the first place.
