-- url of the page with the problem -- : www.inarihealthandwellness.com/
-- HikaShop version -- : HikaShop Starter 2.6.1
-- Joomla version -- : Joomla! 3.3.6
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : Firefox 44.0.2

Hi There,
All going well until the customers email with download link is received and then it links to login page on site. After trying to login, using same login details as created at purchase, it says the account hasn't been created, when already a few steps back, I had received the account confirmation email, clicked the confirmation link, all good. Payment was also successfully received. Problem is just the last bit when the product download link comes through in the email and the links just go to the login page and login does not work. Appreciate any feedback.

Hi,

Seeing the login page is normal.
But that's the login page of Joomla and it's Joomla which tells you that the username or password is wrong.
So there must be a problem with the user account. Please check it in the backend and make sure that the password you're using is correct.

I was able to login with my super admin download it. However under hikashop 'orders' there was no customer against the order number. So in the cart I changed it to include 'login' 'registration'. Now when I register as a new user during the cart process, it takes about 20 mins to receive the account confirmation email, then once I click on the confirmation link, go back to the cart, my details are still there in the registration form, with the 'login form' to the left. If I enter the login form on the left, it says "Warning You cannot access the private section of this site." and the 'finish' button down the bottom is still not visible. This is why I went for the option to set up the joomla login module, but doing that leaves a blank customer next to the order in the hikashop backend. Any suggestions on what I need to change?

Hi,

There seems to be an issue with the confirmation system of Joomla on your website.
The simplest is to turn off the user account activation setting of the options page of your Joomla user manager.
That way, when you register on the checkout, you'll be logged in directly and you'll be able to finish the checkout.

Thank you so much. All working really well now. Just the only last thing is the "Warning. You cannot access the private section of this site." that appears after the registration is submitted. Can I change this wording perhaps, to say Registration successful, you can now complete the checkout process below.

Hi,

That's not a message from HikaShop but from Joomla.
You shouldn't get that message so there must be something wrong with the access to your menu items on your website or something like that.
But yes, you can modify that message with a translation override:

Thank you.

I've gone through the full cart process again, and after I receive the download file email, the login page still does not let me login as the test user. It just shows the attached screenshot, asking me to enter the login details again.

In the backend, the user is showing all good in both the joomla user manager & also the hikashop customer manager. Access level is 'guest'.

So problem being I can't download the file.

Hi,

Make sure that you open the link in the email with the same browser that you used for the purchase and this won't happen.
If it's with another browser, it's normal that it asks you to login first in order to identify you (otherwise, any could download the file if you gave them the download link).

Hi. Yes I always use Firefox. This time I've made sure that I'm logged out of the administration backend, closed all browser windows, cleared all history. Clicked download link in email, still same result...

Ok so I was able to fix it myself. The Joomla new user level needed to be 'registered' not 'guest', and also the Hikashop configuration > checkout > User group on registration needed to be 'registered' not 'guest'.
