Hi folks,

When a customer is going through the checkout process, they have an option to edit their billing address and delivery address.

When a customer edits the billing or delivery address, it also updates the other address to be the same, what could be causing this issue?

Why is Hikashop forcing both addresses to be the same?

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

I'm not following you. You want the same address to always be the same for the billing and the shipping ?
In any cases, if you need to modify the behavior of the address system, you'll have to at least edit some of the address view files.
There are the address and address_select files of the checkout view and the show and edit file of the address view.
The cod is quite complex as it uses a combination of PHP, javascript, ajax requests and can handle different modes of functioning based on the "address selector" setting of the hikashop configuration.

My issue is the opposite to that.

In the back-end, I can edit a customers billing and delivery address fine but on the front-end when a customer updates the delivery address it seems to update the billing address at the same time when saving.

This means the customer is being forced to have the same billing and delivery address.

Hi,

I've tried to check the issue on your website but it seems that you removed the "address" view from your checkout workflow so I couldn't reproduce the issue.
Are you able to reproduce the issue yourself ?
PS: When I register on your checkout, I'm getting that error:
take.ms/yqALe
It seems to be a problem with the user account email so please check it in the menu System>Emails. It's possible that it has been customized wrongly.

I am having the same issues. I discuss the checkout address choice problem here www.hikashop.com/forum/checkout/884317-c...shippping-price.html

It was possible to make some adjustments, but this problem is not solved. The address step should look like this to the customer (without the striped blocks and view buttons). There should be only one billing and shipping address and they should be independent.

This is exactly what I was trying to explain, as you say "There should be only one billing and shipping address and they should be independent."

Thanks for helping with a screenshot Osindelka, I really hope they can understand the issue better now.

Hi,

In that case, I'll point you to the answer I made there:
