Checkout takes 3 min to complete

Hello guys ,
I don't know how to solve this problem or where it comes from.
Everything works fine and I get no Errors. But the waiting time for an order to complete takes exactly 3 minutes everytime i buy something. The website is just running local on our servers and will not be available from the internet. So I can't give you access to the server. After 3 minutes the order is completed and the success page is shown.
Any hints would be appreciated.
I can give you more information and take sreenshots if you know where to look for a solution.

Hi,

It's probably because HikaShop is sending the notification emails and the Joomla settings are configured in a way that the connection to the email server is not working. So the system waits for 60 seconds for the email server to respond for each email sent (and there must be three emails).
So supposing that it comes from that, if you don't need email notifications, you want to disable the emails via the menu System>Emails. Or you can also configure the Joomla email settings to correctly connect to the email server.
Normally, an error message should display on the checkout when that problem happens. But maybe you Joomla template is not displaying messages. Do a test with the default Joomla template and see if you get an error message with it.

Hey thank you for your answer,

now the weird part. I do even get the e-mails sent, I get the first mail after 60 sec, the second one again after 60 seconds and the third one after 60 seconds, too. So it definetely must be an e-mailing problem. after i recieve the third mail the order is completed and the thank you page is shown instantly. Any idea why the mails are hold back everytime? Any way to disable the waiting for response timer?

I already tried to use driffent mailing applications (PHPMail, Sendmail, Smtp), but the result remains the same.

Hi,

I managed to solve this Problem by using an external SMTP Server. So it must be our firewall thats holindg the emails back.

Hi,

Then what if you empty the "order admin notification email address" field of the Hikashop configuration ?
That should remove the sending of the order notification. Do you see a 60sec reduction in the page load ?
What if you turn on "debug mode" of the Joomla configuration ? On the resulting page, you should get profiling data at the bottom of the page with interesting information to narrow down the source of the delay.
