Address loop

-- HikaShop version -- : 2.6.3
-- Joomla version -- : 3.5.1
-- PHP version -- : 5.6.17
-- Error-message(debug-mod must be tuned on) -- : Please enter your address below to continue

Hi,

I have a weird problem that has arisen. All the free shipping products and one product that requires shipping allow the Guest to continue to checkout. All other products get stuck and show the error "Please enter your address below to continue" even though the address is there. The message can't be ignored so the Guest can proceed anyway. Because Hikashop thinks there is no address, the shipping methods don't come up either. It seems like a strange anomaly that all but one of the products that require shipping won't work. I've searched for answers and looked over each product to see what might be different about that one, but no luck.

Any help is appreciated!

Joanne

Hi,

Mmm. That's strange. There is no such error message in HikaShop by default.
The only error message close to that is "Please create or select an address".
Did you modify the text ?
Also, do you have the same problem with the default Joomla template ?
If so, how about changing the "address selector" setting of the HikaShop configuration ?
And how are configured all the settings in the "checkout" tab of your HikaShop configuration ?

Hi,

Thanks for responding. It's fixed!

Yes, I think I changed the wording of that message a long time ago. I couldn't see the navigation when I tried using a different template so I couldn't test that. Changing the address selector didn't help.

Under shipping methods I looked at the USPS plugin and turned off "Use product dimensions" and that seemed to fix it. I'm not sure why. I don't remember ever setting that to YES when setting up the cart originally. We're calculating the shipping by weight.

About a month ago I upgraded to the latest Hikashop and stupidly only tested the cart using the free shipping products so I thought it was working. Maybe the settings changed then?

Thanks,

Joanne

Hi,

If you had a really old version, it's possible yes as that setting didn't exist in the plugin before.
