Please excuse my wording as I'm not exactly sure how to explain.
Attached I have showing required fields the customer has to fill out during the checkout process. When the customer gets to this screen, information is already set from when I created the custom field.
What I would like is for these fields to be blank so if the customer forgets to fill it in, there's an error message.
How do I do this?

Hi,

Add an extra value in your custom field with the "value" input empty and the "title" input fill with the default text you want in the dropdown, like "please select". Then, save the custom field, and select that "please select" value as "default" in your custom field and save again.

Thanks. How do I do this for the date? I currently am suing the field type Advanced date picker.

Hi,

Just leave the default value empty in the field settings.

When I remove the date from the default value field and then save it, today's date populates. It seems to automatically put a date there instead of an empty box or a way for me to put "Choose Date".

Hi,

Could you provide a screenshot of the settings of that custom field ?

Hi Nicolas,
I can't get the entire set up in one image so I've attached 2 files.

Hi,

You need to turn off the "default today" setting so that there is not default value if you don't want one.
