Duplicate URLS and Metadata - cart_type-cart/tmpl-component

Hi Guys,
After running a recent site audit, it would appear that our Hikashop shopping cart module is generating hundreds of duplicate URLS for all our different pages each with duplicate metadata.

All URLS appear with "cart_type-cart/tmpl-component" or "checkout/notice/cart_type-wishlist/tmpl-component" at the end.

Is there any way to configure the cart so it doesn't create these urls? See URL page with the problem which is an example of this. I did notice in our configuration that "Force a menu on the checkout" is set to none. Is this perhaps the cause? and if so, what page/menu would it be best to set it too. I'm happy to pay for your time in troubleshooting this for us if need be.
