I'm using "flat rate shipping per item of $3" with "free shipping on orders over $49". The shipping cost is not updating correctly when changes are made to the products "while in the cart". For example, if I add two products to the cart, the shipping will show $6 in the cart, as each item is $3. These amounts are correct. Then, if I leave the cart and add a few more items the shipping may add up to $12 or perhaps the items total more than $49 and the shipping shows $0. Sometimes if remove one or more items from the cart, but leave some items there or change the quantity of some of the items, the shipping does not update to reflect the changes to the shipping cost. Even if I click on the refresh quantity icon. In any case, more often than not the shipping will not add up correctly, when changes are made to the cart quantities or line items.

Hello,

Firstly, can you show us how you configured your shipping methods and the products that you have added to your cart during your tests through some screenshots ?

Thank you.

Here are steps which demonstrate the issue.

Hello,

The problem is maybe coming from the fact that some of your products don't have any weight/dimension, so the solution can be to :
- Set the "Include virtual " option to YES through your shipping methods configuration pages
- Set the "Force shipping regardless of weight" option to YES via "Hikashop->System->Configuration->Checkout".

and test it again.

If you look at the product page screen captures sent in my previous response you will see that all three products have a weight of 1 gram. We never wanted to use weight as shipping parameter, as we are using a flat rate. However, after reading some information in the forums I added the 1 gram weight parameter to well over one hundred products, even though they will all have flat rate shipping. I re-tested. This did not solve the problem, that is why I posted this issue. Additionally, I already had the "Force shipping regardless of weight" option set to "Yes". I did not have the "Include virtual" option set to "Yes", as these are not virtual products and they already had the 1 gram weight added to the product information. However, I did change the setting for "Include virtual" and re-tested. This did not solve the issue. To take it a little further before I responded. I went into the same three products in the previous post and changed the volume on each to 1x1x1 mm. Since these products have dimensions, although they don't have a "volume" per se, this doesn't make much sense, but I thought I would try it anyway. I re-tested. Still have the same problem. Also, in Advanced Settings, I tried setting "Use AJAX when possible for Add to basket buttons" to "Yes" and "No", neither had any effect and the issue remains. I've attached another screenshot to demonstrate that the shipping continues to not work correctly. I've used other Joomla web shops, with up to 40,000 products. This is the first Hikashop that I've tried to set up. I chose Hikashop because people say it is more simple. However, I'm spending an awful lot of time trying to get a very simple shop set up with Hikashop.
