Hi,

When a shopper adds products to their cart, and registers as part of the checkout, they see the following message after clicking the activation email.

Message
Your Account has been successfully activated.
The cart is empty


Having an empty cart like this is leading to shoppers abandoning their purchase.

How can this be prevented? What am I doing wrong? How can I preserve the products they had added to their cart?

Hi,

That's actually not the case. They will only get that if they click on the link and don't open it with the same browser that they used to browse your website. Normally, after clicking on the link, they only get the first message and see their cart on the checkout.

Also, note that it's possible to turn off the activation of user accounts with the corresponding setting of the Joomla user manager options page.
