no email for order notification to admin

-- HikaShop version -- : 2.4.0
-- Joomla version -- : 2.5.27
-- PHP version -- : 4.4

Hi,
I don't receive any email anymore for "ORDER_ADMIN_NOTIFICATION" (to the administrator) and I can't find why.

Here is the history :
-no problem during several years
-since November 2016, a few emails were missing (10 emails missing on 150 orders). Emails for customers are always sent.
-As other emails are sent well, I suspected a problem in the content of this specific email. Then I tried to delete the customisations on this email. It did not fix the problem...but worsened it : I don't receive any email anymore :(

If i desactivate the "send HTML", I receive the email (but without the order content).
When I activate the "send HTML", no email is sent.

What should I check ? fix ?
Could it be related to the "HTML version" content, via the "system/emails" menu ?

Hi,

Maybe it's a bug of the 2.4.0 ?
It's already two years old.
First, check that the order admin notification is enabled and that you have an email address entered in the "order admin notification email address" setting of the HikaShop configuration.
Otherwise, the email might not be sent.
But since you get the email if you turn off the HTML of the email, it would indeed indicate a problem with the HTML version, like something linked to the overrride.
With a recent version of HikaShop, you could go in the menu Customers>Emails history and check whether the email is listed there or not. If it would be there, it would indicate a problem with the email server, if not it would indicate a problem with the generation of the HTML of the email.
Check PHP error log of your web server, you might find a fatal error message which could explain the problem with the HTML version.

Hi
The notification is enabled and the email address is correctly set.

I checked the logs on OVH and didn't find any error.

What could I do to "fix" the HTML version ? as I already deleted the customisation ?
Should I change something in the override ? where ?

Hi,

What do you mean by "I checked the logs on OVH" ?
What did you find written in for the sending of the email in the log then ?
As far as I know, OVH doesn't provide the logs of its email server to you. So either you're on a dedicated server and you can check the email server logs yourself on your server via SSH ( probably in /var/log/mail.log ), or you need to contact the support of OVH.

If there is no customization then it must not come from a code change. That's why the log is important. The email history of HikaShop would help as well but you would only get it if you would update your HikaShop...
