Receiving a lot of errors during checkout

Hello,

I am receiving a lot of errors during checkout when I'm using Hikashop business. The way I'm using hikashop is by linking it with JEvents RSVP pro so I could use it as a payment method.

I am getting these errors when I do just about anything in the checkout screen. I have guest checkout enabled, so whenever a guest fills out their info and clicks next, the site will hang and I will get the third or fourth error I listed. I'll get the same message too if I try changing the payment method, or by trying to complete checkout.

The first two error messages I posted were when I ran the site in debug mode. I first got the FaLang error, and once I disabled that component, I was getting the second message. I tried increasing the maximum size allowed, but I was getting the same error regardless of my allocated memory.

The last two error messages I posted are what I was originally getting before turning on debug mode. Again, I tried raising the memory allowed a bit and it would lead to the fourth error. When I tried increasing the time allowed, the site would crash with a 500 error.

If you want to go and test this, go to the private link I posted and complete the registration choosing credit card for the payment method, since it'll direct you to hikashop checkout. For testing purposes, I only have a bank transfer method inside the hikashop checkout.

If there is a fix for this, I would greatly appreciate it

The errors that I were getting were these, in the order that I stated in my first post

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 77 bytes) in /home/projects/public_html/NaskhoTest/plugins/system/falangdriver/falang_database.php on line 360

I am using the most current version of Hikashop and Joomla. The browser that I was using was Firefox 47

First, I use your link but I'm unable to find where process some checkout tests, where is the items to add in the cart by example ?
But, I'm looking carefully your errors messages, and I think that HikaShop isn't the roots of your issue see by yourself :

Hello,

My first post should have all the details about my problem on how it occurs. I am using JEvents RSVP and I have the Hikashop plugin to process the payments. The link I posted, as stated similarly in the first post, will bring you to the registration to a test event, and you will need to choose credit card to be transferred to Hikashop's checkout page.

The first two errors I listed were only appearing when I ran Joomla in maximum debug mode. They don't appear otherwise. Once I disabled FaLang, I was receiving the other error, and it will always be the same no matter if I raised my sites allowed memory.

The second two errors is what I receive whenever I do just about anything in the checkout page. Hi,

Since there is no such problem with HikaShop normally, I'm suspecting that it's coming from a third party extension which is looping for some reason during the checkout.
So the extension must be somewhat related to HikaShop.
For example, it might be the RSVP integration plugin having a bug.
Once you arrive on the checkout, disable the RSVP integration plugin (a plugin of the group "hikashop" or "system" and try again to do stuff on the checkout.
If it works, it would validate this theory. Otherwise, it must be linked to another plugin of the group hikashop or system and you could try to disable them one by one in order to identify the one causing the problem.

Hello,

I did what you asked and disabled some plugins to help narrow this problem down and I believe I have found out what is causing this issue. The plugin that was causing the issue was the RSVP Pro Payment Trigger - Hikashop Plugin found in /plugins/hikashop/rsvppro/rsvppro.php.

Whenever I disable this, the checkout works the way it should, except the event price is not updating and staying at the default $0.01. What I also noticed was Hikashop Checkout will work itself even with that plugin activated, but only with products created in Hikashop. If there's an RSVP Pro product in the cart, the checkout will hang and I will get the issues listed.

I can see that you're not using the latest version of RSVP Pro (3.4.15) ; so maybe the latest version already contains the fixes.
In all cases, we have been in contact with the RSVP Pro team.
They got the latest HikaShop packages (2.6.4 & 3.0.0) so they will be able to reproduce your issue and made the required fixes.

I'm using RSVP Pro 3.4.15 and hikashop 3.0.0 and same problem. when i click register. It sends me to a 500 error saying the page does not exist. My product pages creates strictly in hikashop are ok. can add to cart.

any ideas?

Hi,

No. We don't know how the integration works and it was entirely developed by the developers of RSVP. So you'll have to check with them what can be done to fix that. There is probably something to change in the code of the integration plugin.

Hi,

By installing the HikaShop 2.6.4 package you will revert your store to his previous version.
If you still have a copy of HikaShop 2.6.4 in your computer ; that's great and you got the right reflex !

Otherwise, like I mean in my previous message, if you want to get an old package ; you have to perform that request thanks to the "contact us" form in order to have a private communication.
Because that task is done manually and should be approved avoid possible abuses.

Hello,

I just want to come here and say that my issue has been fixed, but it was through a different method I found that I feel like I should post here in case someone else has this issue.

I did try getting the most up to date versions of each component, but that didn't fix it, and neither was downgrading to a lower one fix it. I went ahead and started remaking the site with the same template just to only have hikashop and jevents/rsvp pro only to find out that once I got to checkout, I was getting the same issue with it crashing if I did anything inside checkout. I did no save the error message, but it was a completely different one that was related to the hikashop plugin itself. I noticed that I had my registration setup to allow user creation instead of just guest checkout, so I went back to change it, went through checkout again, and it was working.

This made me go back to my original site that was crashing and I went ahead and changed the checkout so I can save the changes. I disabled the ability to login during checkout, saved, then reenabled it and saved again, and for some reason, this fixed my issue.

I do not know why editing my checkout in configuration and saving it fixed the issue, and I do not know why the payment trigger plugin was causing it to crash the site, and with changing the checkout, made the plugin work again. I am not sure if it's the template I'm using or with some modules/components that came with its quickstart, but it's very strange to me that simply editing how the checkout page looks would fix this issue.
