Joomla 3.0.0 checkout menu item returns 403 - Access Forbidden

Working on a new development site but the menu item for checkout (under the Products top level link) returns 403-forbidden. I can get a product list to display and a single product page, as well as a menu item for View Cart working, but the menu item for Checkout errors out. The only way to get to the Checkout is through the AJAX box after adding to cart.

Could this be a Legacy Checkout Layout conflict?

If I toggle the Legacy Layouts 'off' for "Cart" and "Checkout" in the Configuration->Advanced->Legacy Settings panel, I can no longer add to the cart at all, and the menu link to Checkout still delivers a 403 error.

Is there additional documentation for 3.0.0 yet?

Also, is a business edition of 3.0.0 coming soon? I can't find a link.

Hi,

That's apparently because you're using a menu item of the type "checkout" instead of "checkout legacy" even though you have the checkout legacy activated.
I've actually added a patch so that the menu items works both ways regardless of whether the checkout is in legacy mode or not.
You can download the install package on our website and install it on yours and that should fix that.
That new package also has a patch for the add to cart not working properly in legacy mode.

The Business edition of the 3.0.0 is already available since the first day of the release. Owners of an activate subscription of the Business edition can find a download link in the menu My account>My subscriptions.
I can see that your Business edition subscriptions are all expired which is why you don't have the download link.

That all makes perfect sense. I will move forward and see how it goes. I'll let our manager know about the business license subscription. Thank you very much for your assistance.

Hi,

I got exactly the same 403 error and was not aware that the Configuration> Advanced-> Legacy Settings was added and that they where default set to 'Yes'. I make sense though, but turned them all off and now my checkout works.

I just then have a lot of other styling errors, but that's due to a Gavick template override that has not been updated since 2.3.0. I think I'll have to disable the template override and then go through the 3.0 files one by one and do override if needed.
