-- HikaShop version -- : 2.6.4

I'm currently trying to create a guest checkout experience on HikaShop Started and have read several threads about this. It seems you can remove Login and Address from your checkout workflow and guest checkout will work, however, it collects no information about the customer.
If true then this would make guest checkout pretty useless for HikaShop Starter since you can't tell who ordered what.

Is it possible to collect any information about the customer using HikaShop starter guest checkout, or would I need to upgrade at least to HikaShop Essential? Apologies in advance if this has been asked before.

Hi,

As explain every time in every threads ; The guest checkout is a feature of commercial edition of HikaShop.

See documentation for the guest checkout settings :
www.hikashop.com/support/documentation/5....html#checkout_login

So yes (and once again) ; There is no guest checkout in HikaShop starter and the only way to get one, is to upgrade to a commercial edition of HIkaShop (essential or business).

Sorry for putting you through the wringer again Jerome, however, I think some of the confusion, at least on my part is due to an old topic that comes up in google searches. The topic indicates that you can do guest checkout by removing the Login / Address blocks from the checkout workflow for HikaShop standard. I believe this leads to a lot of confusion. While technically it does bypass the login/registration feature, it also opens up a lot of issues due to customers not being able to provide any information about themselves when placing an order.

I upgraded my clients version of HikaShope to Essential and it is working perfectly.
