[SOLVED] Wrong default choice in dropdown address fields in checkout

-- HikaShop version -- : 3.0.0
-- Joomla version -- : 3.6.5
-- PHP version -- : 7.014

Hi,

When you put products in your cart and then go to checkout and login Hikshop shows you the invoice and shipping addresses.

Expected result: Hikashop would show the actual shipping and invoice addresses (if they are present in the user's account)



Actual result: The address and shipping addresses are not shown. Both dropdown fields have "New" set as default value instead of showing the addresses. When you press next and then return to the previous page it does show the addresses.



Legacy is disabled

I noticed two more things.

1) In the drop down it shows an additional choice labeled "-,()". Once to click "Continue Shopping" and then come back to the checkout the addresses are shown as expected and this strange option is not visible in the dropdown anymore.

2) What happened to the ceckbox "Use same address as invoice address"? It's not there anymore.

Please provide an Url link to better understand your issue, because on our side we can't reproduce your issue.
And in Advanced tab, add some configuration page screenshot, in order to see all your configuration part.

Hi,

I'm sorry but I don't see the problem on your website.
I've tried these instructions that you provided:

- go to the frontend
- add products to your cart
- go to checkout and login with the user account provided

And here is what I get:

I see no text "-,()" in the dropdown (probably due to an empty address of the user you're using), and the default address selected is the address of the user.
Also, regarding the "same address" checkbox, that option is not supported by the new checkout for now.
We're poundering on whether to keep it and implement it in the new checkout or deprecate it since it basically only adds more clicks for the customer who wants to have different shipping/billing addresses, without any benefit we can see.

I have done some further testing. The same issue occurs when you create a new user account on checkout. Furthermore, when the dropdown shows new address as default (instead of showing the actual address) and you switch to the registered address in the dropdown, a set of fields to add an address is shown. When you cancel that the checkout actuallt is showing you the registered address again.

Basicly, the first time Hikashop shows you the address screen things go wrong. As soon as the page reloads (while you are still logged in) either after cancelling the add address or by continue shopping and then returning to the checkout the addresses ar shown as expected.

I have sent you a mail via WeTransfer with two screenrecordings that show you what is happening.

Just found out:

On checkout/login type user and pwd... and...

... press login button and everything works fine

OR

... press ENTER or click next and you will see the problems

Hi,

Ah, yes. We were finally able to reproduce the problem thanks to that piece of information.
We've added a patch on our end in order to fix that.
Download again the install package on our website and install it on yours and that will add the patch.
