Site not redirecting to Paypal after customer clicks finish at checkout

Hi,

My site is not redirecting my customers to Paypal to complete purchases at the checkout.

The customer gets to the 'payment method' of my checkout and upon clicking finish, they should be redirected to Paypal.

I cannot solve this and my site is down until resolved.

I also cannot update Hikashop to the latest version and have followed the private message support step by step. I do not believe that this should affect the checkout though as my site was working absolutely fine (i.e. customers were redirected to Paypal) about 2-3 weeks ago prior to making a couple of edits.

Desperately require assistance here if anyone can help as my site is not live to the public until resolved?

Hi,

Because it was your first message in the forum, it needed to be approved by a moderator (to avoid the spam messages we got everyday).

Can you please provide details about the HikaShop (and Joomla) version number you're using ?
Also, you're saying that your customers are not redirected to paypal, but what is the content they got ?

When the customer reaches the checkout, they select PayPal (the only payment method i currently have) and then hit next, the checkout process then says 'thank you for your purchase' as opposed to being redirected to Paypal. Hikashop also sends a confirmation email to the customer to say order is complete.

Have tried reinserting the redirect URL and return URL and still persists.

Hi,

As far as I can see your problem is normal.
You've configured the "default order status" as "confirmed" in the HikaShop configuration.
And the "payment confirmed order status" as "confirmed" in the same place.
So you're telling the system that you want the orders to be created as already confirmed and that this status means that the payment has been confirmed.
So the system doesn't redirect the customer to the payment gateway since the order is already paid from how you configured it.
You should change that the "default order status" setting to "created".

Thank you so much Nicolas. I have been trying to crack the problem for two weeks now so really appreciate your help with this :)

I now however have another issue....

My site is showing a few issues on every page now. Please see attached images for details.

I have no idea why these are showing but they appear on every page that you navigate to when on the site? Also the menu bar continues to scroll down with the user. This has never happened before now.

Any guidance on how to solve this would be much appreciated!

If you take a look at the error message you will see that the mentioned plugin is not related with HikaShop or our support.

All sorted. I had debug mode on.

One other issue I have now is my return URL page from PayPal completion...

The return url is a hidden menu item and I am trying to ensure a specific thank you banner shows on the page. At the moment it does not appear on the redirected link.

The link I have is as follows:

index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=32&Itemid=309

The final section of this link 'Itemid=309' is the ID for the banner I am trying to insert onto the page.

Can you advise if I am making a mistake or doing this wrong?

Have attached a snap shot of the return URL (hidden menu).

The final URL is what you have configured in your paypal plugin for the "return url".

About your second screenshot and the warning message ; once again, it is related to a plugin which does not belong to HikaShop or our support.

Yes the return URL in my previous message works.

The problem is I want this return page to show a 'thank you banner' to customers.

The item ID is 309. I have added this at the end of the return URL but it still doesn't show up when customer returns.

Hi,

I don't understand what you mean.
What is the link between your banner and that item id and the return URL ?
What is a "banner" for you ? A module you configured in some way ? Did you configure it to be displayed for that menu item ?
In what way is this linked to HikaShop ?
If you have the return URL index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=32&Itemid=309 in your payment method and that you go to the page index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=32&Itemid=309 after the payment, then HikaShop's job is done.
If you want to change the styling of the page index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=32&Itemid=309 then you can do it as any normal Joomla article page, no ?
