-- HikaShop version -- : 3.0.1
-- Joomla version -- : 2.6.5

Site was working but due to customer demand I needed to add https and SSL from customers. The major problem is customers are not seeing the "thank you" page and my guess is they keep hitting the "submit" button and everytime they do I get another order and another payment. I had one customer do 13 orders but all he wanted was 1 unit and 1 order. And I have about 12 other customers with the similar issue some with 3 orders purchased. I have played with the SSL settings within hikashop and nothing seems to fix it. I also changed the thankyou page to add the HTTPS instead of HTTP and that had no change.

I manually did an order myself on the website and after hitting submit 1 time, the page just looked like it was loading forever but I made sure not to hit "submit" button again and I produced 1 order and it never went to the thank you page. So everything is working until the last checkout page going to the thank you screen. Instead the customer keeps hitting the "submit" button creating an entire new order each time. This is a real nightmare as we have tons of customers. And I can also see order being created with our other paypal plugin that never go to "confirmed" so that plugin is also messed up. So this makes me think it has nothing to do with the plugins at all since they are both having issues. I emailed you with login info to look at my account as this is a major issue.

I have 2 checkout plugins being used

1. credit card
2.Paypal

THIS all started directly after adding SSL HTTPS

Hi,

I don't see why the SSL would change anything.
If you deactivate it, does it work properly again ?
I've added a patch on our end to disable the button when the customer clicks on it, like it was with the old checkout.
Download again the install package on our end and install it on yours and that should help.

Still same problem with no change. I just uploaded new version, clean cache and then used my own card to make a purchase.

After you hit sumbit button on CC plugin that works perfect.

The "Next" Button which is the last button to be pressed to create order and change payment still just endlessly shows a loading wheel on the "next" button. Also the tab shows "connecting" with a loading wheel spinning.

Please check your email I send you login info for my site.

Okay Mark this as solved!

A note for if anyone is ever having same problem in future.

My problem was with the SSL, with my domain provider when I upgraded to SSL HTTPS, they changed my mail server address. This of course would not my customers go to the "thank you" page thus they would keep hitting the "next" button making a new order with every click of the "next" button. So if you have this issue after upgrading to SSL HTTPS might wanna check with your domain host provider to see if they changed your email server address. Mine did as soon as I input the new address everything started working fine again. Thanks!

Hi,

But that's something else. What my patch does is that it prevents you from clicking multiple times while your website is processing.

The fact that the page takes a long time to load is something else.
It could be the email server not responding when HikaShop gives him the emails to be sent, it could be linked to your HTTPS, or it could be something else.
Hard to say.
You'll have to do tests to find the cause of the issue:
- disable the HTTPS
- remove the email sending
- turn off 3rd party plugins
