Checkout 500 Internal Server Error

-- HikaShop version -- : 2.6.3
-- Joomla version -- : 3.6

Hello,
We're facing a problem when a customer try to checkout without register it get 500 internal server error.
The strange thing is that if the customer is registered he don't get 500 internal server.

Hi,

I see that error on your website but I don't know why you would have that.
We don't have that problem on our end.
First, look in the PHP error log of your server. It should contain a fatal error message corresponding to the problem. Then, provide that error message and we should be able to tell you what to do.

Well, the error:
Failed opening required '/home/onycha5/public_html/includes/defines.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/php53/pear') in /home/onycha5/public_html/index.php on line 37
Is quite problematic. Make sure that the file includes/defines.php exists on your website or Joomla won't work properly.

Then how about the Apache error log ? Maybe there will be something in it.

Otherwise, what if you update your HikaShop ? I suppose that if you turn off the "checkout legacy" setting of the HikaShop configuration and use the new checkout, you won't have the problem.
Note however that it seems that you have some customization on your HikaShop, so make sure that you test the update on a copy of the website first before trying it on your live website.

The file defines.php is in includes, it' not missing. Please find attached the Apache error log.
We have a lot of customizations in hikashop and we are afraid that will lose all of them if we upgrade to latest version.

Yes, that's why I'm saying to try on a copy of the website so that you can see if you'll loose something or not, and if so, what, etc.

Still no solution, i;ve tryed to upload the same original version Hikashop 2.6 business wihtout custom changes. Still get 500 Internal server error when checkout as guest. If you log in it's working but if you are guest still get 500 Internal server error.

There are no files missing..any other idea on how to fix this? It's annoying to force visitors to log in first so they can checkout..

About your issue, I think you should talk about the PHP Fatal error message instead of a "500 Internal server error".
Regarding the logs you gave in previous message, it does not look like to be related to HikaShop, as Nicolas mentioned previously

These files are Joomla file, not HikaShop one ; so it is going outside the limit of our support.

If you have PHP Fatal error regarding HikaShop context and files ; please provide the details about the error (and message content).

Hi, i think i've found the source of the problem. If i disable all the payment methods we no longer get 500 internal server error but can't finish the order.
We get 500 internal when try to checkout as guest, if we register first it works. It's there a restriction if you are not registered to block the payment methods?

It's a step forward in the debug of your issue.
Unfortunately, we still need to have the corresponding PHP Fatal error in order to know which is the incriminated file, which is the plugin with the problem.
