Checkout will not progress past shipping selection.

I am attempting to process a test order on my site, but the checkout process will not proceed past the shipping selection screen.

There is only one possible shipping method for any product, or combination of products. Checkout displays the correct shipping method according to the cart contents, but clicking on the next button just seems to reload the "select shipping" page.

The "Display checkout progress bar" is turned on, and it will allow me to click on "checkout" and proceed past the "select shipping" stage. By doing this, it automatically selects the correct shipping method.

I have alternated between Yes/No in the legacy settings for "Auto select default shipping and payment methods".

Can anyone advise what might be causing this please?

Hi,

First, try switching temporarily to the default template of Joomla, protostar. When you redo the same steps, do you still have the problem ?
If so, do you get an error message ?
We've also added a few fixes to the checkout since when you installed the 3.0.1. It might help so try downloading again the install package on our website and installing it on yours in order to get all the latest patches, that might help.
Also, could you provide a screenshot of the settings under the "checkout" tab of the HikaShop configuration ?

Thanks for your reply Nicolas.

I have tried changing to Protostar but I am still having the same problem. Clicking on the Next button doesn't seem to do anything and I am not getting any error messages.

I tried this before updating Hikashop, and afterwards as well, and still not working unfortunately.

Hi,

I've found that you're actually using the Brainforge manual shipping plugin and not the standard manual shipping plugin.
If I configure a standard manual shipping plugin and use it, it works fine.
Also, with the way you configured your shipping methods, there is no need to use the Brainforge one, the standard one allows for the same things.
And finally, when I edit a Brainforge shipping method on your website, I don't see the configuration interface specific to it. So I'm wondering if you didn't mess something with it. In any case, we can't debug that plugin as we don't know its code. So either you can ask the developer of the plugin for help, or you can use instead the standard manual shipping plugin which has the same options as you're using but doesn't have that problem.
