-- HikaShop version -- : 3.0.1
-- Joomla version -- : 3.7.0
-- PHP version -- : 7.1.4
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : all
-- Error-message(debug-mod must be tuned on) -- : Checkout button not displayed - No error message

Hello,

I updated to hikashop 3.0.1 and now there is no more checkout button on the showcart page (that lists the products in the cart). I tried to update the view "cart / showcart" but nothing changes. Is it another view?
As well the + and - buttons do not update the total and the cart value.

Thanks

Hi,

We've actually removed that button from there. You could easily add it to the show file of the view cart with such code:
<a href="URL to the checkout">Go to checkout</a>
The - and + buttons will only update the total once you click on the save button. Did you do that ?

Mind if I ask what was the reason for removing the Checkout button from the View Cart page? That's one of the most desirable actions for a customer to do when they are reviewing their cart - move forward to begin checkout and complete the sale.

While easy enough to add it back in, it seems counter to usability and sales conversions to remove the Checkout button from that page, unless I'm misunderstanding which page you are referring to.

Great, I added the checkout button.

For the other point, no save button is present on the page. Do you have a custom code for that?

Hi,

@PolishedGeek:
The main reason was that it wasn't working properly.
It was only redirecting you to the checkout.
And that's incorrect as it needs to first change the current cart to the cart you're looking at. Otherwise, you might end up with a cart different from the one you're looking at.
We were eager to release the 3.x series rapidely and decided it was better to remove it than having a broken button there.
But I agree that it's a good idea to have such button. It should however be named properly like "set as current and checkout" or just "checkout" when you aren't in mutliple cart mode, and it should display in the toolbar and not at the bottom to keep the layout clean. We'll look at doing something about that in a future version. Thanks for your input.

@sauvain:
I don't see how that's possible. Could you provide a screenshot of the whole page so that we can see what you have there ?

Hi,

I'm seeing the button "sauver" (save in English) between the button "Move to cart" and the button "retour" on your screenshot.

Ok, I understand now. But it is not obvious that this save means "update the quantity".

Anyway, thank you for the response.
