Hello,

I am about to give the shop to a customer, but I have noticed slight issue with Paypal. The problem is the incapacity of the shop to handle a non answer from Paypal during a purchase of a product.

After checkout when the user is redirected to Paypal, if the user changes their mind and clicks on the browser's back button. On the "Orders"page the order is marked as "created" and not "cancelled". I know on Paypal if the user clicks "Cancel and return x@xl.com" the order is marked "cancelled".

I noticed something similar with guest purchases. When clicking the browsers back button the shop does not release the guest. The guest is still signed in and can see the list of orders.

Are there anyways to solve these problems?

Kind Regards,
Josh.

Hi,

HikaShop has no way to know what the customer is doing on the PayPal website. If he closes the tab then that's it.
So the only solution is to automatically cancel the order after a certain period of time after its creation if it heasn't been paid yet.
There is actually the "HikaShop order auto cancel" plugin that you can configure via the Joomla plugins manager after configuring your cron task in order to handle that.

There is no system to release the "guest" mode besides finishing an order. However, the guests shouldn't have access to the orders listing at all. I've added a patch on our end to avoid that. You can download the install package on our website and install it on yours to get the patch.
