No email confirmation when changing order status

-- Browser(s) name and version -- : firefox 53

Hi.
I have a problem with email confirmation. When an order is created, the customer receives an email notification, but when the order status changes, for example on canceled or confirmed, customer does not receive an email or invoice. Where and how I have to change the settings to work properly.

Hello,

It depends on the context.
How the order is modified exactly ?
It is a manual operation, if so, where are you doing it ? Is is via a plugin, if so, which plugin is it and what is its configuration ?
