Getting thrown back efter choosing shipment method

Hi,
We have had this problem for a couple of weeks no and it occur when you have filled in the customer details and go to the shipment method and choose method. Then you get thrown back to the customer detail form. No exceptions.
Customers complain about it as noone can place an order now.
Please help me out, I am stuck...

I have made screenshot of the checkout procedure but i don't get what you mean by Legacy settings.

Hi,

If you turn off the "checkout legacy" setting of the HikaShop configuration, do you still have the problem ?
What if you change the "session handler" setting of the Joomla configuration ?

By turning off the checkout legacy setting I can not proceed any further than filling in the customer details form. I won't even get any shipment options.

Whay changes do you suggest in the "session handler" setting of the Joomla configuration?

I changed the session handeler settings in the global Joomla configuration from Database to PHP under session handler but no effect to the checkout issue.

Hello,

I can see that you're asking of a country but not for a state.
Maybe it's related to your issue that the address is not full and that's what is causing the issue.
If the new checkout is redirecting you to that step it means that something required is missing.
But you should have a message explaining the problem.

Hi,
In sweden we don't use states as a necessary line in a full address, we only need to specify, name, street + number, zip code and city. Nowadays telephone (mobile) is almost necessary in morder to receive sms for shipment notifications etc.
I don't see then why this is the issue, butt maybe something in the new uådate is requiring something more....?

My issue has never occured to this site before and we have only had these settings for like over two years now. Everything has worked flawless, except for some email issues, not related to hikashop but Joomla configuration file and permission issues.
So this is very unlucky and for me very strange and hard to find out.

I have tried to reinstall HikaShop, as that used to sometimes solve issues on other sites I have had under my administration. But this time it doesn't solve it. But something related to the new updates of HikaShop seem to cause it as it started to occur after that.

Looking forward to your help as the shop is totaly unusable as it is now.

Hi,
I changed back to checkout legacy and got one step further in the checkout process, now I can again choose shipment method but then I get thrown back to the customer form...

Hello,

I processed some tests on your website and I have some theories, I guess it's link to your customer creation in guest mode.
Explain this step by step :
If I look to your workflow configuration the step after Cart & Fields, you have the Guest Login with Emails and Address form.
Beyond this step a guest customer have to be created in order to finish the checkout process, right ?
I feel there is something that fail after this step, because it's too long AND when you reach the shipping step, we have to see Shipping methods AND new created address, here there is no address displayed.
=> Guest account creation failed OR didn't get the address, in both case there is no address ! And the checkout process can't be finished, and so HikaShop go back to complete this missing element.

Now, in order to be sure of it can you :
- Have a look in HikaShop Configuration on Customers dropdown => Customer ?
There, either you haven't guest creation (sine the issue appear) OR Guest account are created but all without Address...
- Try to make a "Check database" process, and try again see if that change something



- Last way to progress, do you have a plugin that can interfere with HikaShop customer (user) managing ?...
A good way to get it, is to switch off one by one plugin and each time process a test.

Awaiting news from you in order to better understand situation.
