Getting the Add Cart button to take me to cart?

-- HikaShop version -- : 3.1.1
-- Joomla version -- : 3.7.4
-- PHP version -- : PHP 7.1.7 .
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : firefox
-- Error-message(debug-mod must be tuned on) -- : none

Hi HikaShop

In HikaShop>System>Checkout

I have pretty much the simplest set up possible:

Checkout workflow

Consists of only 2 steps:

Cart and Payment

Checkout

Force a menu on the checkout is set to none

Force SSL on checkout is set to No

Shipping & Payment
is set to No

Login & Registration is set to No

And in the Payments Method Section I have the HikaShop Paypal payment plugin active.

Clicking Add To Cart does nothing!?!

I am pretty sure that I had this working before.

Kindly tell me what I am missing!?!?

I want to get this to work first with the standard Hika Shop Pay Pal plugin and then test for a 3rd part Plugin.

This is very kind of you to look at this!
Very simple question once you have clicked the Add to Cart button…
What happens next/How do you get to the cart?
Are you being taken their automatically?

I am not being taken their automatically.
I would have thought that would be the standard procedure!
Maybe I have some cache issues!!!

Hello,

You got the "cartnotify" plugin which is displaying a tooltip on the top-right corner.
So the customer is not redirected to the checkout.
You need to configure the plugin or just unpublish it.

Under System>Payment Metohds I have the following active: HikaShop Paypal payment plugin
And also have this but it is not active: DT FastSpring Payment for Hikashop

Under System>Plugins I have nothing active!

I have no idea where the ""cartnotify" plugin is installed and have no idea why the Pay Pal Plugin is not working!?!

I am pretty sure that at some point I had both the: HikaShop Paypal plugin & DT FastSpring Payment for Hikashop working...

Hello,

You switch to the legacy mode ; it's not "working again", it's using the old HikaShop features which are now deprecated.

Please follow the instructions I gave you.
I didn't talk about any payment or shipping plugin ; I told you that it was a plugin, which mean a regular Joomla plugin !

So I have now gone to the Joomla plugins and found

1) Hikashop Add to Cart notification Plugin "cartnotify" and disabled it!

2) I went back to

System>Advanced>Legacy settings and switched them off again and…

As you suspected the cart now works as expected…

What I still do not understand is this and please correct me if I am wrong…

a) I now on Hika Shop 3+
b) Using a Hika Shop 3 + feature = “cartnotify”

Is there a way to get both working?

You talk about configuring the plugin...

You need to configure the plugin or just unpublish it.


...but in the plugin itself there is not a lot to configure!?!

Hi,

I don't understand what you mean by "Is there a way to get both working?" Which both are you talking about ?
In the design of HikaShop 3, it is normal that you need to disable the cart notify plugin if you don't want the notification and want instead to be redirected to the checkout.
The settings in the plugin allow you to configure how you want the notification to be displayed to the customer. There are not many settings because not more are necessary for now.

It is an either or situation.

Either be guided through the cart process or have that little notification box pop up.
