cannot finish checkout

Hello, i have got a problem in the checkout since i have transfered my site from a local server to internet.
It is a 5 step checkout process and when i cklick at step four (cart status, image "checkout_1)) the finish button, for a long time it happens nothing and then i get an error message (look at the attached picture "checkout_2_failure. on my local server everything is functioning like it should (image "checkout_2_correct). seems to me like a broken link or something like that but i don't know where to look. Can someone help me please?

Hello,

Can you give us more information through some screenshots for example about :
- The Payment methods your are using and how you configured them
- Your checkout workflow configuration that you can find via "Hikashop->System->Configuration->Checkout"


Can you also :
- Activate the Joomla debug mode ("Administration->Global configuration->System->Debug System/Language")
- Set the "error reporting" option of the Joomla configuration to "maximum"
- Test it again so that you can see if it display an error message which will help us to understand from what your issue is coming.

here are images from the payment methods - which it seems it doesn't matter because i have tried them and the result is always the same and the images from the checkout workflow page. i have also activated the debug mode... but i cannot see where to put the reporting level to maximum

ok i found the error reporting to "maximum" but where do i see those reports? do i have to open some file or should it come directly on the screen? i have seen no joomla message just the message of the browser that i have already sent to you. and the timelag when i cklick the finish button till the error message of the browser is very long - about 2 minutes where happend nothing.

there is also a other minor thing which is strange. on step 3/5 of the checkout process it jumps directly to step 4/5 when i make the last selection. on all the other steps i have to cklick the "next" button.

found that one in the backend in falang/translation:
"parsing errors in language files"
JROOT/administrator/language/en-GB/en-GB.com_falang.ini : error(s) in line(s) 263

Hi,

If you have a long waiting time before you get that error and that it's at the end of the checkout, it indicates that HikaShop is waiting for something until the page processing stops. Usually, this comes from the email server which doesn't respond and is causing by the email settings either in the Joomla configuration or the HikaShop configuration which are not correct.
So please check them with your hosting support. Maybe you didn't modify them after migrating the website ?

Problem resolved. indeed it had something to do with the email.

in "system> the global configuration>server" i had to change from smtp to php and now everything is functioning. don't undestand why it was working before site transfer with smtp and now i had to change the mailer to php but anyway now it works and that is the only thing that counts.
