Displaying subtotal excluding Tax in email

I am trying to display the subtotal in the email without tax. I have successfully completed this in the following views by setting order_subtotal to order_subtotal_no_vat:
Checkout - Show_block_cart
Order - Show
User - Cpanel
Order - Invoice
Order - Show_additional

However when in the backend and an order is displayed, when selecting the email button the subtotal is still showing the value after Taxes have been added.
I wish to show this before taxes, can you point me to where I need to show the subtotal without tax please.

Ok I solved this issue!

Reading the thread here www.hikashop.com/forum/checkout/889192-s...is-wrong.html#265014 I realised that the email is generated using the preload part of the emails under the configuration menu
