No 'out of stock' error message on placing a reorder

-- Joomla version -- : 3.8.3
-- PHP version -- : 7.0.27
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : FireFox 57.0.4 (64-bit)
-- Error-message(debug-mod must be tuned on) -- : none

Hi,

When a customer tries to do a reorder - and a product is out of stock - an error message is only shown when there's already an item in the cart.
Without an item in the cart, no error message is shown.

In the screenshots I've tried to reorder the same order.
Only difference is the item in the cart.

Could this be a bug?

Hi Mohamed,

1) attempting a reorder (while there is an item in the cart) - I get notified the order can't be placed because an item is out of stock
2) I delete the item in my cart
3) attempting to reorder the same order - I don't get notified, but the page just reloads

Just let me know if you need a login to our staging environment.

I'm not able to access the backend of your website. It seems that the "dir login" you provided doesn't work.
Could you double check it ?

We'll need to look at more of your settings to be able to better understand the situation so a working backend access would be great.

The dir login works thanks.
However, now that I can access the login form, the user account doesn't work either. I'm getting that error when trying to use it:
De combinatie van gebruikersnaam en wachtwoord is niet correct of u heeft nog geen account.

Hi,

Thank you it's working.
I've checked a bit the settings but I couldn't find much.
Could you provide as well a FTP access and could you add an order to that test user account and make sure that you can reproduce the issue with the reorder on that order so that we can easily debug the situation ?

Thank you.

We've added a patch on our end for that.
Download the install package on our website and install it on yours and that will fix that problem.

PS: please use our contact form in the future to provide credentials as it is safer than with the confidential tags of the forum.
