I am using the PayPal sandbox to test the checkout.
It returns the user to the website where it shows the message: "Thankyou for your purchase. You can now access your order here." This links to (still on the website) all the order details that would normally be on the backend .
Is this because I am using the sandbox or will all users see this when the payment method goes live?

Hi,

All users will see that message even in live mode.
If you want to modify that message, you can use a translation override:
www.hikashop.com/download/languages.html#modify

So when I click on the 'here' link am I seeing every order of every customer only because I am using a sandbox-recognized account?
Will a normal buyer only see the details of their own order?

Hello,

I don't know what is a "sandbox-recognized account" but if you're using a common Joomla account for all the orders ; that's normal that this account can access to all order it made.
Each customer must have its own account (login, password, addresses.. orders).
